Zoo Quest[edit]

Perhaps there should be some mention of Sir David Attenborough's Zoo Quest series for London Zoo, Including the first Banded Armadillos?

Also, In The Bit About Humming Birds, It Says "Humming Birdsin the UK". For A Moment I Thought There Was A Creature Called A Birdsin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.13.129.239 (talk) 20:14, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Chi Chi was not the zoo's first giant panda[edit]

This article currently says ""The Zoo's first giant panda, Chi Chi, arrived in 1958.""

That's not true — I will edit to remove "first".

As the Wikipedia article for Chi Chi points out: "Chi Chi was not London Zoo's first giant panda; Ming was one of four that arrived in 1938."

Indeed, the zoo hosted a lot of pandas from the 1930s onwards: see http://www.giantpandazoo.com/LondonZoo.html or http://www.rcseng.ac.uk/museums/hunterian/documents/surgical-spirit/SurgicalSpiritIssue18Summer2013.pdf . (I have seen the skull of Ming in a quite good display at the Hunterian museum.)
