Needs some work[edit]

Compared to the page covering the Falcon 1 rocket, to be launched shortly after, the state of this is shocking. Rather than assuming deliberate neglect, of course, I will simply conclude that most of the good information on this rocket is not available in English.

Nevertheless, its a real shame, and it shows up a perhaps unintentional Western bias in Wikipedia

GrampaScience (talk) 09:45, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I may be wrong, but isn't the "Long March" that this rocket is named after an event undertaken by the Maoists during the Chinese Civil War after WWII? That may be worth noting? Altima (talk) 03:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is indeed true, but I think that really belongs in the general article for the Long March series. So far I have tried to focus this article on the differences between the 2E and the 2F, as the 2F is essentially a modified 2E. GrampaScience (talk) 14:47, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Long March is a notable historic event happened before the WWII, from 1934-1936 by the Mao's Chinese Red Army. 2F and 2E have significant differences in details. 2F is just for passenger transport, so reliability and safety is critical; 2E just a LEO freight rocket and now seems obsolescent as absent commercial usage for heavy LEO satellite.
