Geography[edit]

Please take out the reference to the Rio Grande Valley. It's misleading to people not already familiar with Texas geography and the vast area the state covers. The Valley region of Texas is 500 to 700 miles away. Lufkin is not a gateway thereunto. Lufkin's proximity to Houston, Dallas, and Austin makes a more meaningful read. Lufkin is on the Gulf Coastal Plain and shares geography with Louisiana's Bayou Country more than with the better-known and commonly held images of West Texas. That should be pointed out as well John Sinclair (talk) 11:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Legal hellhole[edit]

Something should probably be mentioned about the propensity of the judges in this town to be highly biased in favor of the plantiffs when it comes to lawsuits against businesses. Jtrainor (talk) 16:28, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
