I would like to know why the band page I posted is up for a proposed deletion.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real is a national touring act that has been featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, etc.

They have played hundreds of shows all across the United States and have been featured in several online articles.

Please advise what more credibility we need to provide. Thank you.

It's too promotional and doesn't impart useful information[edit]

I've worked in radio for many years and I agree, this reads like it was copied from a press release. However, that may just be the style in which it was written and not where actually it came from, because it also lacks information about the nature of the music and what to expect if you were to listen.

Some press releases I get are like that--they talk all about the band's history and projects without saying anything about the music. But most good PR [and Wiki pages] say something about the KIND of music the artist plays. Rock is such a broad category that you need some modifiers, and they don't have to be comparisons to other bands they may resemble -- you can use adjectives like metal, surf, classic, retro, hard-driving, guitar based, acoustic, folk-rock, pop, dreamy, rhythmic, etc. to get across to readers something about the music itself.

My 2 Cents.
