Obvious Symbolism?[edit]

"If one were to buy the CD, LP, or tape they would see the regular image on the front. On the back, there is another silouhette image of May, Taylor, and Deacon standing and looking at Mercury. This, obviously, symbolizes the fact that Freddie had died due to AIDS and now the three could not reach him."

A few points: if it's obvious, why mention it? I think it's stronger without the last sentence. And Mercury is the only silouhette - you can clearly make out the other three. Third, why mention this at all?

In all fairness, it symbolizes MORE than their inability to reach Mercury. Mercury is in an extremely triumphant pose - throughout life he was always on top. He once said that he didn't care if he died tomorrow 'cause he's done everything for crying out loud! May + band are now in a state of sadness over the loss of Mercury, but he's beyond that.

There is so much symbolism in here it seems absolutely STUPID to include only the most obvious point. Jvincep 09:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By The Way... The "silhouette" of Freddie Mercury is in fact a picture of his statue in Montreaux from behind, not of the man himself. You Don't Fool Me[edit]

You guys have no idea what you are talking about Queen was the all time, you dont realise how many people loved Freddie, like me. And that is very rude to say that stuff you didnt make billions on music, so why say stuff? I dont get you people now days....Freddie is still alive in a way and you need to respect him. He didnt do anything to you. Freddie I still love you no matter what! A Winter's tale lyrics and recording[edit]

I've edited the comments on "A Winter's Tale: it's utter nonsense that a man sick from aids could still write and record a song two weeks before dying. Not utter nonsense regarding what one can do dying from aids, remember Mercury was by all means reduced to a wheelchair by this time, singing from the mic on the mixing deck as oppose to the studio booth, and in the last days of his life was beginning to lose his eyesight, but his voice was not affected, some days he felt well enough and most days he didn't, he was in Switzerland in October so weeks isn't entirely absurd. have left this alone nonetheless. A Winter's Tale[edit]

Untitled Track[edit]

I did a little research on the final track on "Made In Heaven", and uncovered one possible thought about the song from a Queen lyrics website. I took a listen to the song on the C.D. and this has caused a bit of controversy amongst Queen fans, some think the reprise of "A Beautiful day, which overlaps into the untitled track and the final yeah is a song as one. from what I have gathered from the Queen lyrics website, the song is interpreted as a "musical journey to heaven".-BigBoi30 18:37, 15, August, 2008 (UTC)

"Whether she turned it down or Taylor withdrew the song is unclear"[edit]

It's unlikely that neither of these is incorrect. I've brought this up because I think she or Taylor himself discussed it, and we didn't notice it. If you did find it, let me know. Queen made one 11th-hour change to the song[edit]

It was the band's first and only release solely under the name "Queen" after the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury in 1991[edit]
