This is an appalling article. There are dozens of early texts that feature Mahakassapa, as well as an extensive legendary biogrpahy, all of which are ignored in this article, which uses only very late east Asian sources, which have nothing to do with the historical figure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.108.40.206 (talk) 20:52, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
