Why ambiguate?[edit]

I cannot fathom the reason for confusing the languages and people articles. -17:46, 30 August 2012 (UTC)Uyvsdi

It's a bit strange, yes, but the term is a name that's applied to both ethnic groups and their languages. – Uanfala (talk) 15:37, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Layout[edit]

This page has seen some major re-organisation in the last year, apparently as an attempt to make it more "compliant" with MOS:DAB. I really don't see that as particularly helpful. Kwami, do you think restoring to this earlier version would be a good idea? We can always un-categorise as a dab page to prevent people from trying to "improve" it like that again. – Uanfala (talk) 15:37, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that it's a bit silly to make a 'South America' subheading when the entire article is about South America. That's silly even as a dab. I don't know if it would be better as a dictionary entry than a dab page. — kwami (talk) 20:20, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
