Old message[edit]

Why have you deleted external link Lake Malibou? it's in wikipedia! it gives more information about Malibu's surounding and neighboring areas for the people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.129.56.65 (talk) 17:42, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Intro and pictures[edit]

I edited the intro to trim some "peacock words" and promotional text. I don't know how a beach can be "elegant", for example.

A lot of new pictures have been added. Maybe too many? Some might be better placed in other articles or in the Wikicommons, which has a whole gallery of Malibu photos. commons:Category:Malibu, California. We should avoid repetitive or uninformative pictures, and avoid using them just because we have them. We can also set up an small gallery in the article, at the end.   Will Beback  talk  09:15, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Economy?[edit]

In the economy section it says: 'Carbon Beach has been described as "the world's most expensive sandbox" with an estimated real estate cost of greater than US$200,000 per square foot.'

That can't be correct. At that rate, a 5000 sq/ft home (not uncommon in Malibu) would cost a billion dollars. A simple Google search for "Carbon Beach real estate" shows most homes in the 20-40 million range. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.1.99.61 (talk) 18:31, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

I see (as of April 2015) this section has been changed from "US$200,000 per square foot" to "US$200,000 per foot of beachfront." That's much more realistic. Thanks for the update.
