This is a sort of article in which it would be really useful to have an image, IMO... I Googled a nice picture, (http://www.gotparty.com/maracas6.jpg), but I can't figure out if it's okay to upload it or not.. I briefly read the info on WikiMedia, but I'm still not sure. Latin or Spanish or both[edit]

I note this edit which I reverted while wikifying. I at first put Latin and Spanish music but our Spanish music article makes no mention of maracas. They are however common in latin music. Andrewa (talk) 18:31, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What kind of sound?[edit]

One would expect the article to tell us something about the kind of sound(s) the instrument makes. "Everybody knows that" doesn't seem the right approach to me. I'm not qualified to answer the question myself. --GdB (talk) 19:37, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
