Troy Game[edit]

Since the Lusus Troiae was staged under the Julio-Claudians after Augustus, it can't be the case that the complaint of Asinius Pollio brought them to an end. Cynwolfe (talk) 18:22, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A strict reading of Suetonius only says that Augustus never held the game again, not that it was not held again ever. I've made our article more circumspect, but I haven't checked any other sources; if there is still doubt on this point anyone should feel free to attribute the claim to Suetonius or remove it entirely.
