Untitled[edit]

It was proposed that Princess Margrethe of Savoy be moved to Margherita of Savoy.

she was Italian; her name was definitely not Margrethe from birth (Margrethe is the Scandinavian spelling). also remove the word princess per Wiki convention re former royal spouses. Mowens35 20:06, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Voting against[edit]

  • she was a princess, just like Masako, Crown Princess of Japan, or do you propose changing it to Masako of Japan? good luck... Antares911 16:23, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Voting for[edit]

  • Support. The naming convention regarding this question is clear and accepted, and only some lone (loony?) debater attempted to change it some two months ago, being practically shouted down by more experienced editors. Queen consorts do NOT have the "princess" title in their headings, and so this one will also not have it. Arrigo 09:18, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Influence of name[edit]

Does anyone know of Margherita of Savoy was the Regina Margherita that served as the source of the name for the Italian battleship that was the name ship of the [i]Regina Margherita[/i]-class? 192.91.147.35 15:50, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
