The article contains sufficient claims of notability:
  • mathematician with six published books
  • won awards
  • highly cited
I think the claims are all true, so the guy is probably notable. My guess is the page was created solely because he was listed on ISI "highly cited". JackSchmidt (talk) 23:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
