What about his stuttering?[edit]

I remember watching some fishing show several years ago (I can't remember if it was Bill Dance or Roland Martin) and Mel Tillis was a guest. He wasn't stuttering a bit! Was it because he was in a more relaxed atmosphere? Or does he exaggerate his stuttering as part of the act?97.73.64.167 (talk) 21:14, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

yeah, this article mentions "his stutter" without ever having stated "HE HAS A STUTTER" in the first place. plus it doesn't mention ANYWHERE what a big part of his persona it is/was, or whether it was an impediment (or boon!) to his career all those years. i know his act makes (made?) reference to the fact that he has the stutter consistenely EXCEPT WHEN SINGING; i was always curious how that's possible.
speaking of medical, does a stutter really come from MALARIA?! that sounds ridiculous to me, but what do i know. 66.105.218.15 (talk) 08:10, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
