Untitled[edit]

I love Minsc, but I don't think it's fair to say that only Sarevok surpasses him- Korgan is just as good a fighter, possibly better, and only gets the short shaft from fans because he's tempermentally unsuited to most parties. Stilgar135 22:17, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty certain that by "strongest" the editor is referring to his 18/93 strength compared to other warrior classes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.171.35.181 (talk) 14:26, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Warrior?[edit]

"Minsc is the strongest joinable warrior in both games"

Isn't Minsc a Ranger? Deadhoax (Talk | Contr) 10:26, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With a hamster yes. But with the way he acts, its a mix between Warrion/Fighter, paladin(doing hid own good, a good rebel)and ranger, with abilities.

Dumoren 05:05, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Ranger is a type of warrior. Pyromaniac589 20:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PC vs NPC[edit]

Minsc is not a non-playable character since not only can he join the group but he is also fully under the control of the player. This should be changed in the article. See wikipedia's article Bragador 15:52, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sarevok spoiler?[edit]

It might be a borderline-case, but shouldn't Sarevoks appearence in Baldur's Gate 2 (and especially that he can join your party) be marked as a spoiler? It's in the "Powers"-section.

Minsc is the strongest joinable warrior in both games (Strength 18/93) until the Baldurs Gate II addon Throne of Bhaal that introduced Sarevok (Strength 18/00) (...)

Vin Moosk and Boo[edit]

You don't suppose that when there is another episodes of Kids Next Door featuring Moosk, that Boo may make a Cameo/homage role? After all there Are hamsters in the show and Moosk is very much like Minsc. Even the name is a slight anagram.

Vin Moosk

   Minsc (C is a K sound)

Dumoren 11:00, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe, just realized that. It's actually a phonetic anagram; Vin Moosk -> Voo Minsk, which sounds like Boo Minsc. Huyderman (talk) 14:17, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Damn stubborn wikipedians[edit]

Can't they just leave the character portraits of Minsc from Baldur's Gate I and II alone, how will people know what everyone's favorite ranger looks like with the image being removed?

Dumoren 02:46, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warcry[edit]

Could "Squeaky wheel gets the kick!" reference the phrase "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Google seems to at least be open to this interpretation. Either way, "(for no apparent reason)" (in the article) may not be necessary. Yevuard (talk) 06:29, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA?[edit]

Kung Fu Man (talk · contribs) has done some great work on this article ([1]), and I think that it would probably have a pretty good change at WP:GAC. I don't know much of anything about the character, so don't know how I could help out, but I just thought I'd mention it for someone more familiar with Minsc. -Drilnoth (talk) 03:52, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Right now as it stands before it goes there the section about his role in the Baldur's Gate trilogy needs much refinement and some citations. The lead would be modified to follow, but that shouldn't be an issue once the game section is finalized, since that's just a summary of the article.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:00, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good; as I've said before, when you're ready to put it up for GAN, we at the D&D project will help out as best we can. Anything we can help with? BOZ (talk) 04:02, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I should be all good from here, just need to find my game disks for bits to cite. Thanks for the help with the books by the way: I should've figured they'd leave him out of the last after his treatment in the second one :\--Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:11, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boo References[edit]

In Mass Effect 2 a shop on the Citadel called "Citadel Souvenirs Shop" sells a "Space Hamster." An obvious reference to BioWare's other prior work Baldur's Gate. On a side note Jim Cummings provides a voice contribution in this title as well.

Boo's relevance in the article[edit]

Are there plans to have a Boo article or to have it redirected to this page? There's some amount of verbiage in analyzing Boo, including his role in Megatokyo, his origination as a space hamster, and secondary references to him without Minsc. It really isn't necessary for the article that is supposed to be about Minsc. -AngusWOOF (talk) 01:30, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know, but his relationship with Boo is a very important aspect of the character. Thanks for the copyedit. You may want to ask User:Kung Fu Man. 2601:D:9400:3CD:C5BB:F2A1:8B47:A415 (talk) 06:31, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recast[edit]

Larian announced in December '22 that Matthew Mercer is the new voice actor of Minsc, why was the update reverted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.118.27.138 (talk) 21:22, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
