Origins[edit]

On a similar note to below, the Football_(ball) page suggests that Mitre were a Glasgow based company; now I am from Glasgow, but lived in Huddersfield, and think the latter is the true home of Mitre.

Advertising[edit]

In its current form this appears not to be an encyclopedia article, but advertisement for the company. This has been done by user Sid4game.

Some quotes:
"Mitre Sports International is recognised as the world’s first supplier of footballs.": By whom? Citation?
"Mitre continues to push the boundaries of sporting technology.": Advertising language.
"Mitre is the most experienced and technologically advanced manufacturer of footballs in the world.": Questionable if this can be an objective statement. Citation missing. And FIFA has always chosen a different company to supply the official ball for the world cup. So this statement appears to be nonsense.
"Mitre is always pushing the envelope in terms of developing the most technically advanced rugby gear."...

Such content hurts the credibility of Wikipedia because it is not neutral but advertising.

I suggest to undo all changes done by Sid4game. If there is anybody willing to transform this article in one with a neutral point of view using the present information this would also be fine.

^You obviously dont know much about football mate because everyone knows the Mitre Ultimax is the best ball!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.103.40.194 (talk) 03:17, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
