Spit Cup vs Bullet Transmitter[edit]

The bullet transmitter was held in by the spitcup housing, which focused the audio better to the weak transmitter. Replaced as mentioned, when the F1 capsule transmitter was installed in the E1 handset.

Model 202 with the F-1 Handset

Beginning in the late 1930's, model 202 telephones began to be used with the new F-1 handset which was designed for use with the model 302 telephone. Does anyone know if the F-1 handset was designed intentionally so that it would fit the 202, or just a lucky coincidence? RogerInPDX (talk) 18:42, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
