Pronunciation?
[edit]Anyone care to indicate how Moesgaard should be pronounced? (i.e. apparently something like American English "moose gore")

- I agree, someone should provide a pronunciation for the name.--Solomonfromfinland (talk) 02:57, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi. I am Danish and lives in Aarhus as well. The pronunciation is a bit like "moose gore" suggested by Erik Anderson. To catch the "oe" in the first part "Moes" more precisely, think of the pronunciation of Roe. It is the same with the "oe". The s is attached afterwards. I guess "Mo-s" sums it up, if you pronounce it quickly in English. Then the "gård" part. It is sometimes spelled "gaard", but the pronunciation is NOT a double "aa". The word means farm in English and the correct pronunciation could be found in a dictionary. It rimes with more, floor, law, saw, tore, sore, lore but the "rd" part has a more abrupt end to it, that I hasn't recognized in English.
- So much for my effforts, how do we solve issues like these usually? Shouldn't there be a source or something? How is it usually done? RhinoMind (talk) 13:48, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
