Some hopefully minor changes. Prosper Mérimée now spelled correctly and linked. He was appointed inspector-general of historical monuments: this sounds like a civil service post rather than ministerial, so he should not really be described as the first Minister of Culture (if my uderstanding is correct). The sentence describing the Auberge Ravoux was confusing; hopefully now better. Emeraude 17:25, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
