[edit] Untitled section

delisted because not comprehensive enough. just one sentence on the brazilian metal scene for instance. Zzzzz 21:08, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Note: the origins of lambada are confusing and controversial, perhaps rooted in nationalist tensions. I've tried to remain neutral, but the best solution might be vagueness here and in music of Bolivia, and letting the article at lambada detail the issues. Tuf-Kat 08:13, Oct 20, 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Removed para

I removed:

Some connaisseurs consider a Northeastern from Vitória da Conquista, BA, named Elomar Figueira de Mello, the greatest living musician in the world. He is a farmer who studied architecture, but makes Nordestine music in the classical forms. Drawing from themes from the Nordeste and other areas in Brasil, he composes oratorios, cantatas, operas and antiphones. His music has the distinction of being audible and avoiding the widespread Nihilism while still being High Art Music.

For vagueness and an apparent lack of neutrality.

[edit] pagode

I would like some info on the origins of pagode. I'm assuming it's a variant of samba close to choro (with the cavaquinho and so on). Can you fill in the blanks?

[edit] International friendship

I removed the following link and description from the main article. --Zigger 14:41, 2004 Nov 27 (UTC)

[edit] Colonial music

I'd say that there's a difference between Colonial music and African/Slave music. I'd suggest moving Capoeira music and Lundu to a new subheading, such as Slave music. — Asbestos | Talk 12:27, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)
