Here is a link to an interview with Kool Kim in 2006 - http://www.platform8470.com/artists/ai_koolkim.asp - near the end of the interview he states that he created the name New York's Original International Lover, NYOIL for short, on the website www.blackvoices.com, (I belive this interview was done before he started rapping under the name). Also, note the images at the top of the page of Kool Kim, the top one looks just like NYOIL, and the second is from The UMC's days. Also, on youtube, there is an interview by The Source with NYOIL - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WdwM082SZ0&feature=related - in this interview, NYOIL states that the origin of his name is New York's Original International Lover, his internet persona on the website www.blackvoices.com, which is consistent with the Kool Kim interview. There is yet another interview with NYOIL, just before the Vibe Awards, joking that he wants to see The UMC's 1991 #1 hit song Blue Cheese win an award next year :) 71.213.128.114 (talk) 05:20, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
