Well, I must confess that I had an affinity to the small jokes in the article, like describing the Feegles as a fictional (thank goodness) race, but I suppose the article's better off without them. -- Kizor 18:48, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Accent/Dialect[edit]

The form of Scots used by the Feegle is DEFINITELY not Glaswegian; it is far more a Galloway accent/dialect (South-Western Scotland) - much more Old Scots sounding. I can't back this up with anything other than being Glaswegian and spending a lot of time in the Galloway, however it is a very noticeable difference to me. Blue appearance[edit]

I've checked - but I can't find any justification for the claim that the Mac Nac Feegle have blue skin through the application of Woad. Yes - I know it's a possible explanation for their appearing blue all over ... but I cannot find mention of woad in the novels - not directly or by inference.

The closest I can find is in Carpe Jugulum, when Agnes/Perdita first enounters a pictsie: The blueness of his skin, she could see now, was made up of tattoos and paint. "Paint", not "woad". 86.129.66.234 (talk) 11:39, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the very first page of 'A Hat Full of Sky', it is mentioned that the Nac Mac Feegle appear blue due to tattoos and 'the dye called woad'. "Known" "Feegles"[edit]

I'm not sure Horace the Cheese or The Toad should be listed as Feegles. I would make a new section for them, but I'm not sure how best to describe them? Feegle affiliates? Feegle adoptees? Thmazing (talk) 04:48, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
