History[edit]

The history section on Nampa seems to be absolutely overflowing compared to an average town anywhere else in the world listed here. I'm personally a Nampan, and I'd rather the page be more accurately represented... or at least up to stuff with the rest of Wikipedia. There also seems to be a bit of useless info to an outsider; common roads, interests, junctions, and the whole section on recreation. Might I clean this up, or should the original creator do it? Nampa train depot formerly and possibly still currently "Famous"[edit]

Just wanted to point out that up until some point in the last 30 years, the Nampa Train Depot/Canyon County Historical Museum, had an exact replica built at Anaheim Disneyland to serve as the depot for the steam locomotive train that circled the Disneyland perimeter. The Disneyland depot now looks different, and I imagine it got a remodel when they built the Californication Adventure on the ground that was on the Anaheim side of the depot. I haven't checked up on any other Disney parks because...

1) As far as I am aware, the design for the Nampa depot was only used at Disneyland Anaheim

2) I don't have a degree in History of any sort. I'm a history nut, and I love doing research, but laypeople aren't taken seriously. That being said, I don't love doing research enough to hand it over to a Master or a PhD of history just to see him or her get name recognition and a wee bonus on the monthly stipend for my Edmund Hillary style attack on mountains of archives. Nampa figurine?[edit]

I was wondering why there has been no mention - at all of the Nampa figurine found by well-diggers in 1889 (1, 2, 3}. I doubt a lot of people would otherwise know anything about the city unless they lived inside Idaho. Thoughts? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 19:18, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jack Sebastian, the article for the Nampa figurine was just created (I know this is a rather late reply). The listed sources likely aren't reliable to begin with but I have a few that are better. Will add. Etrius ( Us) 14:33, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
