Suggested first objectives[edit]

I would like to extend the history section further as the highest priority now. A first target for this article would be to have as much(or more) informationu as is given for the similar (now decomissioned) plant of Lakeview_Generating_Station.

The decomissioning of the Nanticoke plant is of high political and environmental significance for the region and this article(and similar) deserves attention. Sources of information regarding the impact of energy supply to the region as well as the environmental impact will need to be found to extend the article further. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hanserfaust (talkcontribs) 21:48, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Point of View[edit]

The Environmental Impact section uses the terms "gigantic", "choking" and "devastating", which don't represent a neutral point of view (although it may be true). I think the section can do without those words. Also consider removing the colloquialism "a major plank...". Under "Decommissioning Plans", the statement "Closure of the plant at that date however, seems rather unlikely as viable energy options for the growing Ontario economy are becoming scarce." is an opinion - not a factual statement and should probably be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.46.200.234 (talk) 11:22, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More information[edit]

This article just talks about the production of power and CO2 and the environmental impact. It should be considered a stub article since it does not contain any history or other information outside of how it was shut down to lower canada's CO2 production levels. How big was it in Square feet (or meters)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.26.89.87 (talk) 17:26, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
