Milford Rural Agricultural School - location[edit]

Could someone confirm the address and location on Milford Rural Agricultural School. Yes this is what it says on government site but the building at this address is a house that does not look like the photo on the external site. --Traveler100 (talk) 20:42, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, (a) I can find a few mid-century references listing a school at 630 Hickory in Milford (this 1957 Bulletin of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, for example), (b) the image from the MCGI site (presumably from c. 1988) shows a clearly vacant and boarded up structure and (c) the house currently at the site was built in 1998. That leads me to believe that the address is correct, and the school was demolished sometime in the 1990s, but, frustratlingly, I can't confirm.. Presumably the folks at the Milford Historical Society may be able to confirm. Andrew Jameson (talk) 12:14, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here we go. Not quite a confirmation, but very suggestive:
The Milford Historical Society... announced plans to create a New Book about the history of Milford.... The new book, which is being researched and written under the working title “Milford in the 20th Century”, will focus upon the history of the Milford area (Village and Township) from 1901 until 2000.... There are places long gone that existed during this era, such as the old Milford High School... (my bold)
From a blog by Norm Werner which I can't link to because ot triggers the spam filter. Andrew Jameson (talk) 12:24, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
