Proposed merge

A merge was proposed in September 2013 as to whether Neurologist should be merged into Neurology. I do not think this merge should go ahead; as with other medical specialities, the profession itself should maintain a distinct page (relating to practices, organisations, schools and training) distinct from the speciality's page (relating to history, current practice, disease burden and utility). All other medical specialists are redirected to a parent article, so I support this merge in view of consistency. --LT910001 (talk) 03:10, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

I, too, support a merger. If there's not separate articles for carpentry and carpenter, why should there be separate pages for neurology and neurologist?Attaboy (talk) 15:41, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
