A Grave Error in the "Also Called" Section[edit]

Russia is listed as one of the countries where New Year's Eve is called Silvester. It is not true to the point that it is absolutely infuriating! Russian people call New Year "Novy god", and New Year's Eve "Kanun Novogo goda". 192.116.60.41 (talk) 08:44, 31 December 2018 (UTC)Elina, December 31, 2019192.116.60.41 (talk) 08:44, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New York date?[edit]

The article correctly says that the ball drop element of the New Year's Eve celebrations in New York's Times Square began in 1907; however, the location was the scene of New Year's Eve festivities from 1904 according to the "Building history" section of the One Times Square article. There is no Indonesia in By Region?[edit]

I just wonder why isn't indonesia included in By Region but only Malaysia has a special New Year. What would go wrong? 180.253.132.159 (talk) 04:33, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because no-one has written it? Feel free to propose some text, with supporting citation. Please make clear whether it is the International New Year's Eve or Islamic New Year's eve that is being discussed. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:17, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
