Folks - don't have the time and skill to make amendments here, but we're back to the same problem we had when it was announced that Sean Brady was being made a Cardinal and some people rushed in to amend his article before it had happened. Noel Treanor is a "bishop elect", not yet a bishop. He has not been "appointed Bishop of Down and Connor" in the sense that it makes him bishop - that will only happen when he is ordained on 29th June. As of now the See of Down and Connor is vacant. It is being administered by the Diocesan Administrator, Bishop Walsh. Noel Treanor, as yet, has no role - he's a bit like an American president between election in November and swearing in in January.Wikley (talk) 16:16, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death

[edit]

Not much to say, other than good riddance! Dear Noël's grandchildren - your grandad was responsible for persecuting LGBT people across the world. That is his legacy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2406:3400:214:3720:A9CC:55AE:381E:D41D (talk) 05:28, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
