[edit] Notable alumni? Not without sources

Jasmine Guy was re-added to the list today, even though her article states that she did not attend North Atlanta, but a predecessor school. Thus, per this article, she did not attend North Atlanta and can't be listed.

The rest of the list that's up (except RuPaul) has {{fact}} tags up requesting the information be verified. Since it's all (or is largely) information about living persons, the biography rules require that it be substantiated or it comes down. If you've got sources, cite them now; otherwise the list is coming down. —C.Fred (talk) 00:03, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Is it relevant that Northside High School occupied the same building as North Atlanta High School, and there was continuity from Northside and North Fulton to North Atlanta? Technically nearly everyone on this list predates the merger of the two schools. A finer point is that the Performing Arts magnet is considered a school unto itself and it has been a continuous program through both schools.

At the time Jasmine Guy attended Northside High (at least), the performing arts magnet wasn't a school unto itself, strictly speaking. All students attended the same basic classes (math, English, science, etc.) together, with the arts students taking arts classes and a lower load of more usual topics. The populations were mixed. I don't recall anyone mentioning RuPaul as an alum, but he would have been before my time. As for listing alums from Northside here, note that the Northside High School page points here, and the article is clear about when the change-over occurred. Poochner 20:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Contrary to the 'disputed' notation by Rupaul, here are the facts. Rupaul, my uncle on my mothers side, did attend Northside School of Creative & Performing Arts when he was 16 years old. He attended under the direction of Mr. William “Billie” Densmore. Because of his pushing I attended NSCPA. In the end my uncle dopped out of NSCPA & took his GED. He only lasted 1 year at the school...that was Ru being Ru. The stars were calling & he had to answer. As for me I went went back to California to attend a west coast performing arts school. If you need to confirm this read his autobiography entitled - Rupaul ...Letting it all hang out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.121.52.2 (talk) 10:48, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Quiz Bowl state championships

Since the State championships section is under the athletics heading, Quiz Bowl should not be listed there. For lack of a better place to put it, I've moved it to the Clubs section. Further, the cited source does not list North Atlanta as winning a title in 1998, so I've removed that mention entirely. —C.Fred (talk) 03:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
