[edit] Need fix?

This article may need clarification. The Silk Road from Xi'an to Turfan is not north of any route that I know of. In the Tarim Basin the Silk Road does split into northern and southern routes. There was another little-used route north of the Tien Shan. Once in Transoxiana a northern branch of the Silk Road went to the Aral Sea, Astrakhan and the Sea of Azov. Unless 'Northern Silk Road' refers to the north side of the Tarim Basin, I'm not sure what the term means. Perhaps it is a standard term in some source I have not seen.
