Oil refinery strike, in war following Russian invasion of Ukraine[edit]

Novoshakhtinsk is in world news today as a UAV drone carrying an explosive charge hit the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery causing an explosion and large fire. Drone is attributed to Ukraine apparently making a strike 150 km behind the lines of conflict in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Novoshakhtinsk is thus playing a role in the large scale war that has been going on for four months now. Article would be improved by including the economic activity in Novoshakhtinsk more generally, and the refinery in particular. N2e (talk) 12:16, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
