notability[edit]

The notability of this company is currently unclear, since no secondary sources are cited. By the notability criteria for companies, independent reliable sources are required to make sure that the subject is notable. The best option would be non-trivial press coverage about the firm. Please add such sources to the article. Currently, the article only points to the web site of a non-profit organization, but without it is not clear how this web site supports the notability of Orbital Corporation.

For the time being, I am replacing the “importance” tag with “notability”. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 09:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One large source of notability that is absent from this article is the Orbital engine (from which the company gets its name). Even if they never got it to the stage of being a usable product, it certainly had a lot of news coverage. --James (talk) 08:05, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:REDFLAG on fuel consumption[edit]

This statement "Independent testing has shown that the Orbital Combustion Process reduces two-stroke fuel consumption by 35 percent." needs rock-solid references, and they need to come from an independent source. The "non-profit corporation sponsored by Colorado State University" is the only body who are marketing this and they're not doing it to engine manufacturers, but as a retro-fit to tuk-tuks. Have removed another link which was dead and I can't find any RS for it. MalcolmMcDonald (talk) 11:08, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
