IF a player has won it more than once, should his name be linked twice? It is not done so in this article, but I think it should be. My reasons are, if you want more information about Gary Lineker (1992) you would have to go search for his name somewhere else in the list.

If the appropriate information for every year was found, would it be appropriate to feature a shortlist each Player of the Year award in this article? Sir Stanley, 22:30, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

If the information can be found for every year in reliable sources I think this would be a good addition, but I think you'd struggle to find the shortlists for the "pre-internet" years. Certainly they're not listed in current editions of the Nationwide/Sky/etc yearbooks..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:43, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
