Weird that there’s no Wikipedia article on Sally Pipes. This is the closest thing I can find. If I had a little more time I’d make a stub but right now I’d just like to ask what’s up with that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:448A:1082:33FA:7927:D1F8:A521:F78E (talk) 01:22, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

So basically, it's a large corporations lobby. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.23.77.118 (talk) 01:38, 24 October 2010‎ (UTC)[reply]

no, sounds like a libertarian think tank type of outfit....they believe in free mkt principles as opposed to free handouts and redistributing from the hard-working to the lazy... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.6.128 (talk) 07:25, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
^ That seems to confirm it speaks for the right wing side of capitalist exploitation of labor. Bobadi (talk) 15:00, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sally Pipes strange absence[edit]

Weird that this is the only thing about Sally Pipes on Wikipedia. No article. If I had time I’d create a stub but for now I’m just wondering what’s up with that? 2001:448A:1082:33FA:7927:D1F8:A521:F78E (talk) 01:24, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I too noticed her (rather strange) absence from WikiPedia also. She is on WikiData though. She is really Sally C. Pipes so her name as Sally Pipes does not always resolve to her everywhere (in the world) one might have expected. The practice of not using full names on WikiPedia (and elsewhere) is a real (big) problem when trying to research people in the world using other databases. I added information to her WikiData entry to tie her two names together. I also added her middle initial on this WikiPedia article to more properly identify her (worldwide). Yes, please make a WikiPedia stub article if you can. You can start with what is known about her from the Pacific Research Institute article (on WikiPedia) and grab any (rather small) remaining info from her WikiData page. There is also a short bio for her on the official-website for the Pacific Research Institute organization. Of course, she writes rather regularly for Forbes magazine. She also writes (or wrote) for the Heartland Institute. A cutesy way to view WikiData is to use the Squid portal. Or you can go to WikiData directly. WikiData also has some database (or other) IDs for her or her work that may also be useful in researching her.
In related matters, I have noticed that many prominent or semi-prominent people are actually totally missing from WikiPedia -- yes after all of these years! I certainly do not have the time to make stub articles for even a tiny fraction of these, but I have made a number of stub entries on WikiData for some of these. Thanks for any contributions.
