Not Mongolian[edit]

The article says that contrary to popular belief, the Paiza was not a mongol innovation. It had been in use since the Liao Dynasty. The problem is that the Liao dynasty was Mongolian. So is it clear that Non-Mongols invented it during the Liao dynasty, or is it incorrectly assuming anything before Genghis Khan was not Mongolian? 70.109.185.7 (talk) 01:00, 27 September 2018 (UTC)John Dee[reply]

False Citation[edit]

Someone wrote that "To attract foreign or overseas merchants and talents, the Great Khans gave them paiza exempting them from taxes and allowing them to use relay stations" and cited this source of information as being from page 29 of Genghis Khan: The History of the World Conqueror, by Ata Malik Juvaini and translated by John Andrew Boyle. This is false. There is nothing anywhere from pages 20-40 about paizas. This can be confirmed both in reading that area and also in checking the index, which lists the pages on which paizas are mentioned. While I don't find that statement unreasonable, nor can I find proof for it anywhere. If anybody can fact check this, that would be great! (Although by the time anybody responds it'll probably be too late for my paper, lol.)
