excessive images[edit]

Six pictures, including two of "park and ride buses" (which are no different than any other bus) in such a short article simply clutter up the page. A picture of a sign and another of a park & ride itself would be sufficient. I mean, is it that hard to get a picture that captures a bus, the parking lot, and some commuters all at once?--172.192.105.35 (talk) 09:43, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am English and have never heard of a kiss and ride. I think more examples of usage need to be found, especially in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as the article implies that they are common all accross the English speaking world, not just America.151.230.133.20 (talk) 16:13, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Eurocentrism[edit]

This article is almost exclusively dedicated to park & rides in Europe (including the "P+R" abbreviation, which is unknown in the US) and doesn't even include any mention of the fact that park & rides have been around in the US longer than they've been around in Europe. (Massachusetts has had them since the 1950s, for instance.) Anyone want to fix? BeIsKr (talk) 04:05, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Railheading into Park and ride[edit]

A WP:DICTDEF of a term that seems to only be used in UK government planning documents. If this is a notable phenomenon in practice, it should be discussed at Park and ride. User:力百 (alt of power~enwiki, π, ν) 16:36, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is very much a notable phenomenon in practice (Epping tube station is a good example of where it happens), however its not really the same concept as park and ride. Thryduulf (talk) 11:58, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I would consider railheading as a specific use pattern of a park-and-ride system; it would have to be a {{R to section}}. User:力百 (alt of power~enwiki, π, ν) 17:42, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose; I agree with Thryduulf that these are distinct topics warranting separate coverage. The case for Railheading being a subset of Park and ride is very strained. Klbrain (talk) 08:53, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given that there is consensus that these are distinct topics. Klbrain (talk) 14:57, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
