Parry Romberg is described as 'incurable' in this article, but this is not strictly true. Although there is no one universally agreed method of treatment, many people are treated with a combination of I. V. Prednisolone steroids and long-term Methotrexate, which can halt or slow the progress of the condition. The condition is recognised as a form of scleroderma, which is perhaps a more useful way of describing (and therefore treating) it.
