Question[edit]

Why is the word "nigga" censored in this article? Wikipedia is WP:NOTCENSORED and I can see no reason to censor the word when it is being employed by the artist himself. Gatoclass (talk) 04:07, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where are you referring to?  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 04:12, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you look in the text, you will find several iterations of "ni--a" or "ni--as". When I first saw these, I had no idea what they were supposed to represent. Gatoclass (talk) 12:16, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Those are in quotes; are we supposed to edit exact quotes from sources?  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 14:49, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well as long as they are quoted that way in the sources, I think it's fine to do the same here, thanks for the explanation. Gatoclass (talk) 15:20, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the sources say it exactly like that. I personally wish they hadn't (WP:NOTCENSORED), but what can you do? No problem.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 15:23, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
