Spelling[edit]

I see No basis for the spelling "Girard" and plenty for "Gerard". The spelling "Girard" seems to be entirely based on IMDb, which is not a reliable source. Even IMDb says: "Born Paul Gerard Smith" but then doesn't explain when or why he changed the spelling of his middle name (his grandson Paul G. Smith III changed it??) – I'm therefore reverting the cut-paste move of 4 November 2007‎. – wbm1058 (talk) 17:08, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
