Szep cartoon on moon landing.[edit]

One of Szep's most memorable cartoons satirized Pres. Nixon's phone call to the Apollo 11 astronauts. It showed a moonscape with the lunar lander in the background and two astronauts and a terrestrial-style phone booth in the foreground. One astronaut was talking on the phone while the other seemed to be reaching for something in the pocket of his bulky space suit. The caption was, "Do you have another dime? He's calling collect." Before mentioning this in the Szep article, I wanted to find a source, or at least someone else who remembers the cartoon. I looked through the Boston Globe's online archives for July 20, 1969 and a few days after but didn't find this cartoon. Does anyone else remember where and when it appeared?CharlesHBennett (talk) 19:55, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
