Opinion in Trivia section[edit]

"She is the greatest ambassador for the game of Golf on all continents". This is an NPOV opinion not a fact. Either attribute a quote to it or remove it.

Height[edit]

I watched Paula at a tournament in Singapore, and she didn't look 5'9" at all. More like 5'6" and not much taller than Morgan P or Stacy P. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.82.79.2 (talk) 11:44, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The 5'9" figure comes from the LPGA website, and is what can be verified by a reliable source. I'll add a reference to the infobox to show that it's from the tour. Giants2008 (17-14) 20:27, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Official website?[edit]

I do not believe the website listed as "official" in external links is accurate. It appears to be an third party fan page and is also not listed in the LPGA's player profile page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Salazama (talkcontribs) 22:03, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be right, and I removed it as an inappropriate external link. Thanks for spotting that. Giants2008 (27 and counting) 14:08, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2010 Scoring Average[edit]

According to the LPGA, here: http://www.lpga.com/Greensheet.aspx?pid=3438&year=2010 and here: http://www.lpga.com/player_stats.aspx?y=2010&o=5 (note she is not listed at all) Don't confuse this with her score in the one round of the Honda PTT LPGA Thailand in which she played and scored 69.00. Obviously the LPGA is not calculating the current year scoring average based on that. --Crunch (talk) 23:49, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And if you look here, it shows a scoring average of 69.00 (69 total strokes divided by 1 round). Obviously she doesn't have enough rounds to qualify for the scoring average list but she does have an average. Tewapack (talk) 02:17, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for showing me where you got the information from. Those PDF bios are notoriously error-prone. Doesn't it seem strange that a player would have a scoring average of 69.00 and a scoring rank of 183? It looks like someone made a mistake and forgot to exclude her one round in Thailand from the season data. The data in the player greensheets are accurate and they are actually updated every week. This page clearly shows a scoring rank of 0.00. If you doubt that, certainly the LPGA scoring average list would show where she ranked. She is not even listed: http://www.lpga.com/player_stats.aspx?y=2010&o=1&mid=4&pid=10 --Crunch (talk) 03:05, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The 183 rank is for earnings not scoring average. No rounds are 'excluded' when calculating the average, it is simply total strokes divided by total rounds (excluding match play rounds). The reason she doesn't show up in the scoring average list is that she hasn't played enough rounds to qualify (appears to be 5 rounds at present). Don't confuse not having enough rounds to qualify for the list with not having an average. Dorothy Delasin and Birdie Kim and everyone at the bottom of the "Total Rounds Played" list are in the same situation. Tewapack (talk) 04:22, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname in intro[edit]

I do not believe her nickname, The Pink Panther, is significant enough or used enough, to warrant mentioning in the introductory sentence. It is mentioned in the infobox and in the main body text. This should be enough. --Crunch (talk) 12:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can't say that I thought it made that much of a difference one way or the other, but I did take it out. Giants2008 (27 and counting) 15:10, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sponsorship[edit]

Paula Creamer is no longer sponsored by RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland). Most likely as result of the financial crisis, RBS has withdrawn from sponsoring professional golfers and golf tournaments including its long time sponsorship of The Open Championship. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.5.178 (talk) 21:44, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removed it from the article. Thanks for spotting that. Giants2008 (27 and counting) 18:06, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed that NEC is still listed as a sponsor, I don't believe that is the case anymore. NEC signed a 3 year contract in 2006 with her, but cannot find any info they renewed the sponsorship. In addition, might want to add Ricoh, SAP, and CDW as three of her most important non-golf sponsors. She is also sponsored by Bridgestone Golf which owns Precept. She no longer plays a Precept ball. Salazama (talk) 20:11, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added mentions that Ricoh and Bridgestone sponsor her, removed NEC, and adjusted the Precept sentence. Giants2008 (Talk) 15:30, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paula Caroline Creamer?[edit]

See [1] and [2]. Are these sources reliable & should the article include the middle name?--lavixcanvas M T C 16:44, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a fan of using ancestry websites in general; their reliability is sometimes questionable. If we could find a better source with the full name, the middle name should definitely be included. I looked on Google, but didn't find any helpful pages. Giants2008 (Talk) 16:04, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
