Picking Nits[edit]

The article describes Pee Wee as a "champion marbles player." This sounds like hyperbole. Did he win marbles championships or was he a marbles enthusiast?

The incident in which Reese puts his arm around Robinson occurred in 1947. In that description we read, "Reese, the captain of the team, went over to Robinson, engaged him in conversation, and put his arm around his shoulder in a gesture of support which silenced the crowd." Yet later we read that Reese didn't become captain until later. "Reese became Dodgers' team captain in 1950." So which is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.55.236.229 (talk) 12:05, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

>> There is considerable question of when/if this moment happened. It's generally accepted has having happened, but there is significant dispute whether it happened in 1947 or 1948, with significant evidence pointing to 1948. http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/fandom/post/_/id/20917/did-reese-really-embrace-robinson-in-47 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.124.184.131 (talk) 20:55, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Don't you think it'd be appropriate to include the picture of Reese/Robinson? 24.136.160.205 21:59, 15 April 2007 (UTC) yes it would because he is a historical person and deseves his photo on here —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.57.170.201 (talk) 01:28, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When was Reese team captain?[edit]

In the section talking about Reese's gesture toward Robinson, it says he was team captain. My impression from the text was that this was in 1947, but later in the page, it says Reese became captain in 1950. This should be corrected or clarified. --Tim Warner (talk) 16:27, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
