Signifigant Others[edit]

False information[edit]

I am entirely certain that the "bags of flour" were 100 pounds, not 50 pounds. Although I would much rather not edit the page, only to make a fool of myself later on. usage of critical review section[edit]

I would rather remove this section, or else include several sources, not just Entertainment Weekly. I would also try to focus on reviewers who are more well-known or respected, and certainly reviewers who have actually read the book. In the part of the article where it describes Peeta's role in the books by Suzanne Collins (specifically Mockingjay), it fails to tell Peeta's role in the epilogue. "In the epilogue, Peeta marries Katniss and they share a life together in the rebuilt District 12. Later they have two children, a boy and a girl." Please add this information. Thank you.

Character Background change[edit]

I, on behalf of a group, made a change to this section. We felt that it focused a little to much about Katness and wanted to refocus the attention back to Peeta. The fictional character Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutchinson is featured in Suzanne Collins’ movie trilogy, The Hunger Games. Peeta is a baker’s son portrayed as a rugged but warm boy quickly growing into a man given his rocky, harsh environment.

The annual Hunger Games features 12 tributes selected from each of the districts which are brought forth to contend each other until one lone victor survives. Peeta being a chosen tribute is trawled into a constant fight for survival with his peers. Nervous but equipped with skills Peeta has the ability to camouflage in battle, a skill he learned during his many years working in a bakery and a bullish strength which the book and movie depict through him hauling flour and massive items used in baking. This contributed to Peeta’s impressive ability to guard himself during the annual Hunger Games. In Suzzanne Collins’ first of three books, Peeta Mellark shows he has a way with people by engaging with the cheering crowds as he first arrives to the capital as a tribute of the annual hunger games. Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), Peeta's mentor throughout the games, reacted to this moment by saying "He knows what he's doing". D As the Hunger Games near, Mellark confesses a "crush", as Collins describes it in the book, on Katniss Everdeen (jennifer lawrence). Katniss Everdeen is depicted as a vital ally from District 12 within the character Peeta Mellark's journey. His character grows closer to Katniss throughout the story and proceeds to act in a manner that shows protection of her. Despite his real and sincere feelings for Katniss, the two are forced to prove to the public of a romance between them in order to win the hearts of the Capital (home to the Hunger Games. With the denial of any real romance from Katniss, the trilogy pulls the reader on a bumpy romance between the two. My group felt there was no need for a "character background" section because others did not have it, such as Jack Sparrow and Katiness. Peeta and Katniss's children names are Willow and Rye[edit]

Hi Everyone, author Suzanne Collins revealed that names of Peeta and Katniss children, their daughter named is Willow and their son named is Rye. Found this information on The Hungers Games wikia website (http://thehungergames.wikia.com/wiki/The_Hunger_Games_Wiki). Actually I think Suzanne somehow did reveal the names as Williow and Rye because entertainment weekly did a trivia quiz pole on it. The source is probably just hard to find.
