With some regret I think I'm going to rv the Ripley/Pentrich Church link, since it's too off-topic to history/geography emphasis of the main articleLinuxlad 13:41, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Gyles Brandreth

I'm in contact with the Pentrich Historical Society over GB's belief that he may be related (*) to Jeremiah Brandreth. They believe he may be mistaken in this, since Brandreth's male line descendants emigrated to the USA (and are not known to have returned). Linuxlad 07:55, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Having now looked in Hansard, GB has usually referred to JB only as a 'forebear', (which does not imply he is an ancestor I think). Linuxlad

[edit] Jeremiah Brandreth

Started a page for him in his own right. I suggest that we need a page for the uprising and another for this place. If we try to use the same page for everything then Jeremiah B does not get into "People from Nottinghamshire" and he's notable enough to be there. Victuallers 20:23, 5 July 2007 (UTC) PS. Giles? I think the claim is notable .... maybe a footnote (as its the claim that is noable ... the fact? ...sounds like a coincidence of surnames Victuallers 17:14, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
