Pillar Crypt[edit]

http://www.uk.digiserve.com/mentor/minoan/phaistos.htm mentions a possible cult around pillars because pillars were found in areas where none were needed. I don't have any opinions about whether or not there was a cult, but it struck me that if I were building big stone ceilings over my head on an island rocked with earthquakes, I'd probably give some extra pillars a go...
