Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I think Phil is large enough on youtube he now deserves a page. He has gained several thousand in the past week and is growing quickly. --Katetha (talk) 15:29, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Dan and Phil[edit]

It has been rumored that Lester and Howell are dating. However, this is not the case. Dan and Phil have been best friends since 2009. This happened by Dan "stalking him" (as he said in a Youtube video) and talking to him on Twitter until they eventually became friends. Without Lester creating his Youtube, AmazingPhil, they would have never met or became friends.

Do you have any sources that support this claim? LordFixit (talk) 12:07, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Tag-bombing[edit]

I've removed all of the recently added clean-up templates, they seem to be unnecessary or duplicating the 'primary sources' tag. 'BLP refimprove' repeats 'BLP primary', the lead sentence seems to be quite adequate to summarise Lester's claim to notability, I can see nothing confusing (and the editor left no explanation), it is slanmted towards recent events because Lester is young and only recently become known. Edit request on 17 April 2013[edit]

I would like to add the following to the article.

January 30th, 1987, Philip Michael Lester was born in the northern hills of Rossendale.

Lester holds the Guinness World Record for world’s fastest coin stacker.

Phil is one of the “Fantastic Foursome,” a group of three English Vloggers. The group includes Dan Howell (Danisnotonfire), Chris Kendall (Crabstickz), and PJ Liguori (KickthePj). Lester is known for being “innocent” and not swearing as much as the others in his videos. His friends playfully mock him because of it, especially Howell. Lester often tries to gain leverage on Howell, but usually ends up failing.

Currently has over 800,000 subscribers on his youtube account.

His friend, Liguori encouraged him to make YouTube videos.

Lester played a minor role in the film “Faintheart” as a shopkeeper named Tim.

Lester has appeared on The Weakest Link.

He is youtube partners. The more times his videos are watched, the more money youtube gives to him.

His grandfather died when he was young.

Loves animals, at one point in his childhood he had a bunny named Holly. He wanted to become a vet, but while working with a vet during high school, he realized it was not right for him.

Started to watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer when he was in secondary school, he is still obsessed over the show.

During college Lester was inspired from the youtubers, Smosh and LonelyGirl15, to make videos.

Started university a year later in York, United Kingdom.

That same year he got a job in a retail. However, he would spend most of time in the stock room, behind boxes, reading the books and magazines they had.

The last year of university for Lester was a low point, due to the fact that a close friend of his, who he had lived with for 3 years, died. It help realize that he should take on more opportunities that were offered to him.

He returned to university, in Manchester to find that the youtube community had grown.

Meet Liguori, who invited Lester to a party with other youtubers. It had inspired Lester to make more videos. They gain popularity at a massive rate.

Met Kendall and Howell. During Howell’s second year, he needed a place to live. Phil offered him a place in his apartment. They have been living together ever since.

Lester and Howell were given many opportunities, including going to VidCon or Playlist live. Soon they started working with BBC radio and hosted two radio show during christmas.

At that point, Howell and Lester decided to move to London.

On January 13, Lester and Howell were given their own Radio 1 show.

Trivia facts:

-His favorite pokemon is Growlithe.

-Phil has only ate a banana twice, due to the fact that he dislike them.

-Phil has an older brother, Martin Lester.

-His height measures over 6 feet.

- “Origin of Symmetry” is his favorite album by the band, Muse.

-Had a pet shrimp named Simon, who died in 2011.
