who made up the wife and two, no wait! one child story? read his bloody homepage and the interviews about him currently being in love with his sport for christ's sake. this is wikipedia not some sort of fan-fiction-"he's my dream husband"-site.
"He is married to his French wife, Camille.A.G."
What??? ofcourse he is married to his wife. Complete tautology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.210.64.214 (talk) 14:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I think you misunderstood something: Philipp Degen isn't married, he has no children and his mother is swiss, not dutch! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cynthia2330 (talk • contribs) 12:38, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] References gutted
Why were all my references completely gutted out of the article? Maybe i'm biased but the article now appears in worse shape than when i left it. I don't appreciate my hard work being removed! Sillyfolkboy (talk) 14:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
I've now fixed the article with a mix of the two versions. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 14:53, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tottenham debut
Sorry but I've reverted the edits to the article again. Inserting your own opinion of a situation is generally not allowed, unless you have a reference (an article in a paper etc) that can back it up. While it wasn't the best of debuts, there are better places to talk about this. Why not try [www.bbc.co.uk/606/ BBC's 606] forum for chatting with other fans? Thanks. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 18:43, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- I've pulled it out again tonight, just sticking a match report next to your POV comments doesn't count. ----Ged UK (talk) 21:42, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Absolute Wiki Junk
"widely regarded as one of the worst players in the world"
Remove this nonsense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.203.137.70 (talk) 10:11, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Libellous junk written by morons.
Rubbish written by children who can't even spell Degen correctly:
"(3 in his mind)" "...Fairy"
Fairy is not his middle name - I know him personally.
Please remove this libellous junk Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.203.137.70 (talk) 10:13, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks a lot - but one small thing
He's still showing as
"Philipp Fairy Degen" on the Right hand side above his photo.
Many thanks for removing the childish insults to Philipp. As I said, I know him personally, he has had an injury nightmare since moving to England and that is well documented here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.203.137.70 (talk) 10:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Done Sorry about that, I missed that one. I do have the page watchlisted, and I normally spot them going in, but obviously missed those. If the vandalism gets too bad, I'll protect the page again. It isn't protected at the moment, so you can make those amendments yourself in future. :o) GedUK 11:13, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] place of birth / Geburtsort, Heimatort
Liestal is place of birth translates to Geburtsort in German. Hölstein is place of origin (from where the family lineage originated) translates to Heimatort in Swiss-German. Regards --Huligan0 (talk) 22:03, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
