– As per WP:CONCISE, the Philippines is the only country on earth which has the barangay as its subdivision. Therefore adding "Philippine" as a prefix to barangay elections is redundant. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:12, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. It's possible to write barangay elections on a specific locality (e.g. "2023 Manila barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections"). This can also work if the barangay elections in a locality was held on a different day, just like what happened in Marawi on 2018. Having the country name avoids confusion if it's a national-level article or to a specific place in the Philippines. Howard the Duck (talk) 13:53, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Howard and WP:NC-GAL; articles on generic election sets always include the country/area name, while those on specific bodies include the name of the entity being elected. Number 57 10:34, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
