Speaking of Selected Philips Records[edit]

You fergot to add 10cc, which are from the UK I do believe. I know I'm listening to 10cc/The Original Soundtrack and it came on Philips vinyl (smaller sized label then what you find on many records, apparently small labels are rare), red label (they had many colors of labels, not just red, but blue and (I think) black). Some useless info for ya.24.68.50.33 (talk) 21:47, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sire[edit]

"Philips was used on a major basis and it became the outlet for Sire Records in America" Any citation for this or for when it happened? I know in the 80s Sire was a Warner Brothers label in America - not sure if that was just distribution or how that was structured. 2601:282:1300:296:74B3:4EAA:E909:DF41 (talk) 23:23, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In the USA, Philips was handled by Mercury Records. The Sire Records 45 rpm release link at [1] shows no evidence that Mercury handled Sire distribution. The distributors in order were London Records, Polydor Records, Famous Music, ABC Records and Warner Bros. Records. Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:11, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
