Two/Four-bladed props[edit]

Hi, I've heard a rumour that in the UK in the 70s or 80s, someone noticed that fitting a four-bladed prop gave better performance and less noise. Can anyone verify this? There's no mention of it on the page. I've certainly noticed that every UK pawnee has a four-bladed prop and every US pawnee has a two-bladed prop. Thanks.
