Note for future work: User:Rzafar/Sandbox is a more comprehensive writeup that should eventually be incorporated. Stan (talk) 03:12, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Postal history[edit]

Moved the previous article to a separate page to make it more comprehensive and give space for postal history here.Rzafar (talk) 20:14, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name and coverage[edit]

NB. See also : discussion at Philately project talk page.

Having moved the stamp material out of this article into Postage stamps of Pakistan, this page should no longer be called Postage stamps and postal history of Pakistan if it is not to cover stamps, other than in passing. The postal history should be moved to Postal history of Pakistan and this page become a dab page. Right now this article covers much of the same information also covered in Postage stamps of Pakistan. This need to be fixed as we are not going to have 2 stamp articles for the same country; the coverage of each needs to be defined clearly. ww2censor (talk) 13:33, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that there should be either two articles (Postal history of Pakistan, Postage stamps of Pakistan), or just one Postage stamps and postal history of Pakistan. --Michael Romanov (talk) 01:45, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The two articles Postage stamps and postal history of Pakistan and Postage stamps of Pakistan have much common ground. The latter is the more developed article but it covers more than just postage stamps and so the sensible solution is to merge them and retain the wider title. This is being progressed via WP:MM. ----Jack | talk page 05:41, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
